JDA okays Rs 58cr for projects, set to build chaupar, gate at Rs 7cr

The Project Works Committee (PWC) of the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) on Saturday approved works worth Rs 58 crore. This included a a fund of Rs 7 crore to construct a few structures in the upcoming New Heritage City located on Agra Road.

JAIPUR: The Project Works Committee (PWC) of the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) on Saturday approved works worth Rs 58 crore. This included a a fund of Rs 7 crore to construct a few structures in the upcoming New Heritage City located on Agra Road. “JDA would construct a chaupar, on the lines of the Badi Chaupar, and a in the New Heritage City on Agra Road.

For these two constructions Rs 7 crore had been approved,” said a JDA official. This is Joga Ram’s first PWC meeting after he became the JDA commissioner. In this meeting, approval had been given to spend Rs 5 crore to prepare a detailed project report for construction of the proposed elevated corridor from Jawahar Nagar to Rotary Circle. Administrative and financial approval of Rs 10 crore was also given in the meeting for the works related to the new master plan of the city. “In addition Rs 2.26 crore had been approved for construction of a road from Gandhi Circle to Kendriya Vidyalaya Number three and another Rs 15.12 crore had been approved on the operation and maintenance of Ralavata Sewerage Treatment Plant and another 7.56 crore will be spent for development works in Nahargarh Biological Park,” a JDA official added. Another Rs 6.98 crore will be spent on construction of roads in Adarsh Nagar, Sethi Colony and Jawahar Nagar.
